AFdPZ Forum on Conservation at the GUYANE Zoo - November 2016.

From November 20 to 26, 2016, the second AFdPZ Forum on Conservation in Overseas France took place. After a 2014 vintage particularly rich in meetings and discoveries, the program of the Guiana forum left an important place to local biodiversity and conservation and researchprograms in French Guiana and Latin America.

Forty-two participants (42) from mainland France and overseas, representing 24 of AFdPZ's 95 member institutions, accompanied by local and international experts, attended the meeting in the beautiful country of French Guiana!
Zoo owners, directors, veterinarians and caretakers, accompanied by local and international experts, met to share their experience and knowledge of research and conservation programs. They had the opportunity to exchange ideas during 26 conferences and excursions to various Guianese biotopes over the course of a week, in one of the regions of the world where biodiversity remains immensely rich today.

We're delighted to share this week's images with you in this video produced by ZooParc de Beauval.

THANK YOU to the Comité du Tourisme de La Guyane, the Collectivité Territoriale de La Guyane and Air France for their support.
